What the dates mean in practice
- Several courses run two stages. A first college interview comes first, and you hear whether a second college wants to see you a day or a few days later.
- Law is the tightest: a candidate can be told by 11am on Thursday 10 December and interviewed again on Friday 11 December.
- Maths, Computer Science and Engineering sit in the second week, Monday 14 to Thursday 17 December, with some colleges starting earlier.
- Overseas candidates can be interviewed in the week before the published window, so a date earlier than the table is possible.
How to use the weeks before
Start from the course, not the calendar. Work out the interview shape for your subject, then practise it aloud with someone who interrupts and asks you to explain your reasoning. Oxbridge interview preparation covers what a session involves, and the free readiness check shows where you stand. Applying to Imperial as well? Read the Imperial interview guide.
